Local Companies partnering up to use NBA lockout for a benefit.

Local energy drink company Blue Flame Energy Drink and promotional company Majestic Raven Entertainment have created a way for the National Basketball Association lock out to serve a great purpose for many Houston organizations.
The two companies have decided to donate $1 each day beginning October 31st that the NBA lockout continues. The money will be donated to local charities and homeless shelters in Houston. The donation will be called “WINNERS IN THE LOCKOUT”. The exact charities will be announced the first week in November.
“We feel great to be able to put this unfortunate lockout to a great use by helping others. We have spoken to other companies and charitable organizations that are interested in participating and feel that there will be some winners each day this lock out continues.  I’m a big basketball fanatic and it pains me to see this lockout happen. But I figure we should put something like this to a great use. Instead of reading the headlines each morning waiting for an announcement of the 2012 season to begin, we will simply use each day as a victory”- Brandon Countee, Promotional Director of Majestic Raven Entertainment.
